OO United Optical was established on 3rd of April 2018, and started the business on 9th of June in the same year. The name of company was created by the founder's second son, Jordan Chai, an experienced and qualified Optician. The name of ‘OO’ means Optician and Optometrist. Given the generation nowadays who is chained by technological devices such as mobile phones or tablets and computer, the risk of having vision problem is largely increased day by day. Consequently, the need of wearing the corrected power of glasses is also increased. They have been cooperating with the Lions Club and other NGOs to organise free vision screening at primary schools. Until the end of 2019, they successfully conducted 45 screening events, and approximately 15000 students were involved. 275 pairs of corrected glasses were given to the poor students. They will continue this kind of event in the future.
